Agent wants Bournemouth’s Alex Scott to join Liverpool

Agent wants Bournemouth’s Alex Scott to join Liverpool

The representative of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott is reportedly pushing for the England international to secure a transfer to Liverpool. However, any potential deal faces a significant hurdle as Bournemouth has placed a staggering £100 million valuation on the player.

Transfer Interest and Market Stance

Liverpool previously explored a move for Scott during the summer transfer window and maintains interest ahead of the mid-season window. According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, a January transfer is possible if a substantial offer is submitted. Romano explained that while Bournemouth did not actively place Scott on the market during the summer, the club has now opened the door to offers for the talented midfielder.

Romano noted that Chelsea remains heavily interested in the player, having maintained contact with his representatives and previously having a bid rejected by Bournemouth. Meanwhile, Liverpool made inquiries for the 23-year-old at the end of June and early July without formally submitting a bid. A report from a prominent X account managed by elite reporters later indicated that Scott’s agent is actively pushing for a move to Anfield, though Liverpool is unlikely to meet Bournemouth’s massive asking price unless the valuation drops.

Chelsea Links and Personal Terms

Despite the push from his agent toward Merseyside, Chelsea FC journalist Simon Phillips reported on his YouTube channel that Scott himself is eager to join Stamford Bridge. Phillips claimed that Chelsea holds a strong interest in the player, with the club having provisionally agreed on personal terms with Scott during the summer.

Phillips stated that Chelsea players have been in communication with Scott, and the midfielder is more than happy with the terms previously offered. While personal terms appear straightforward, a final transfer hinges on clubs reaching an agreement on the fee. Bournemouth continues to hold out for a figure in the region of £100 million for the midfielder.
