Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto as a potential target following reports that Pedro Porro is planning to leave the club. Porro, who has been the first-choice right-back under manager Roberto De Zerbi, signed a contract extension in June 2026 but has reportedly lost confidence in the team’s long-term project.
Porro Attracts Interest from Spanish Giants
According to a report by Football Insider, both Real Madrid and Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Porro. The 27-year-old Spain international is said to be flattered by the interest from the La Liga clubs and is open to departing Tottenham in 2027 to compete for top honours at the highest level.
Spurs and Liverpool Monitor Malo Gusto
To address a potential vacancy in defense, Tottenham have turned their attention toward Chelsea’s Gusto, who carried a valuation of £67 million (€80 million) in the summer of 2026. Reporting for FlashScore, journalist Dean Jones stated that Liverpool are also tracking the Frenchman’s situation, with any formal pursuit depending on the transfer terms Chelsea are willing to accept.
Chelsea are not actively pushing Gusto to leave, but they are looking to recruit a new right-back during the January transfer window. The Stamford Bridge club is currently evaluating market options and potential replacements before deciding on Gusto’s role.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have ruled out a move for the defender. Speaking on the Bayern Insider podcast, Bild journalist Christian Falk confirmed that the German champions will not pay the heavy fee previously quoted, adding that a Bayern official jokingly rejected the transfer due to Gusto’s name translating to “bad taste” in Spanish.
