Arsenal Eye Can Uzun and Nicolo Tresoldi in €110m Double Move

Arsenal have initiated early discussions regarding potential moves for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Can Uzun and Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, according to reports.

Targeting Uzun and Tresoldi

According to reports from CaughtOffside, Arsenal have contacted the 11WINS agency, which represents both players. The London club has made initial contact regarding Uzun and is actively exploring a potential transfer for Tresoldi.

The Gunners are positioned among the Premier League clubs leading the pursuit of Uzun, who has recorded four goals and three assists in six appearances this season primarily playing as a left winger. The 20-year-old is also capable of playing as a central attacking midfielder and has drawn comparisons to former Premier League striker Dimitar Berbatov for his elegant style of play.

Arsenal face competition from several clubs for Uzun, including Aston Villa, Brighton, Everton, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan. While the Turkish international was available for €40m during the previous transfer window, his strong form has prompted Eintracht Frankfurt to demand the full payment of his €60m release clause.

A source stated, “Arsenal have had some initial contacts about Can Uzun. I can’t say for sure if he’s at the top of their list, but they like him and they’re not alone in that. Eintracht Frankfurt are aware of the interest, but will point to his €60m release clause.”

Striker Search and Future Plans

Alongside their interest in Uzun, Arsenal are monitoring the market for a new central forward due to doubts surrounding the long-term fit of Viktor Gyokeres. Reports indicate that the club is considering a move for Tresoldi to reinforce their attack.

Club Brugge are reportedly seeking £42m for the 22-year-old striker, which would break the record for the largest sale from a Belgian club. While Manchester United have also taken notice of Tresoldi’s development, Arsenal are currently demonstrating stronger interest.

Tresoldi has enjoyed a productive season with nine goals in 13 matches, including a hat-trick in a 4-3 away win against Inter in the Champions League earlier in the month. However, Club Brugge are reportedly resolved to keep the player through the January transfer window, meaning formal negotiations may be delayed until next summer.
